Galleria Mall, Al Barsha
Façade lighting for Galleria Mall in Al Barsha, balancing abstract surfaces with evening dimming and a cinema mode that can shut selected poles off.
The project
The façade has complex angles. Wireless DMX projectors and linear wash light the surfaces, and levels ease through the evening to limit light pollution and disturbance for neighbours.
When the outdoor cinema is in use, selected surrounding poles can be shut off from an internal touch panel, on a schedule, or from an app. The fitting set is 64 projectors and linear wash battens, with custom brackets and stainless-steel pelmets that conceal the linear lights at the façade and the entrances.
