Architectural Lighting Design
Redwood Lighting is the architectural lighting practice of Redwood Technologies within the Redwood Tech Group, based in Dubai. We design architectural lighting for luxury villas and for hospitality and boutique commercial interiors across the UAE and GCC, shaping hierarchy, warmth, contrast, and calm with the architecture rather than from a catalogue of fittings.
How the design is developed
The lighting narrative is set early: layers of light, focal points, and the way a room changes through the day. Concepts are developed in dialogue with architecture and interiors, so each decision supports the spatial experience the project intends.
Luxury villa lighting design, on this practice, is the same discipline as a hospitality interior. Material, volume, and how the room is used come first. Feature and accent light — artwork, joinery, a wall wash — is added with restraint, so contrast feels curated rather than crowded.
Fixture selection
Fittings chosen against the design intent, coordinated with the ceiling and the wider interior, not assembled as a standalone list.
Architecture and surfaces
Wall washing, reveals, and material-led light that follows texture and volume.
Coordination
MEP and ceiling plans aligned so the concept can be built without losing the sightlines.
